Why most garden redesigns don't last two years
The typical landscaping job fails the same way every time. Someone measures the space, draws something that looks good on paper, then passes the build to whoever's available that week. The design never accounted for how your clay soil drains in winter, where the frost sits, or that the sun barely touches the back wall from October to March.
Result: a garden that photographs well in summer and becomes a problem by year two. Patios pooling water against the house wall. Planting that sulks because the conditions were never right. A layout built for a brochure, not a family that needs to actually live in it.
How we design gardens that work year-round
Every project starts with a conversation about how you actually use, or want to use, your outdoor space. Entertaining, kids, low maintenance, growing food, or somewhere that looks right from the kitchen window in February. Then a proper site survey: drainage, soil type, aspect, shade, access. The design comes from that reality, not from a template.
Daniel draws up the plan, walks you through it in person, and works through changes until it's right. Then he builds it himself, because the same person who designed it building it is where quality is maintained.
